Elmo's Pet Fish Mystery Revealed!

On the Rosie O'Donnell Show: Dorothy or Giggles?

Some of you Elmo lovers may have noticed that Elmo had a pet fish on Elmopalooza named Giggles the goldfish. But later he appeared in Elmo's World with a brand new fish named Dorothy. What happened? Does he have two fish now? Did he rename his fish? I headed to the Sesame Street web boards for answers.

After posting my question, I got an answer from CTWCassy, who is a host from CTW. This is what I learned:

"I found out from Sesame Street that there is a new fish and there is no connection with Elmopalooza."

I also found out this interesting tidbit from Treelo:

"I know on one episode last season, Elmo was very sad, and Telly and Baby Bear couldn't figure out why. Then they found out Elmo's fish had died. It was very well done. At the end of the episode, Elmo gets a new fish, so maybe the first fish was Giggles, and the second one was/is Dorothy."

So... there you have it. Hope that clears things up a little more for everyone.
