Posting
- This is a family friendly site. Please do not post any material that is not appropriate for all ages.
- Do not post links to websites that contain illegal material or are not suitable for all ages.
- All posts must be respectful. Insulting posts or attempts to create a negative atmosphere will not be tolerated.
- Do not post garbage on the board just to increase your post count or to get more Elmo coins. If you post an excessive amount to the board without contributing anything useful to the community, this is called spamming. Any spammers will have their post count reduced to 0 and their Elmo coins taken away, in addition to the standard penalties for board violations.
- Do not make a post that is just one word or only contains smilies, unless it is part of a game.
- Before making a post, please note the date that the topic was last replied to. If the topic is old, please do not make any new posts unless you truly have something interesting to add.
- Posts on the board can be formatted in several ways, but please don't go overboard when using these special effects. This will cause those who are using slower connections to be unable to read through the topic.
- Please note any rules that any individual forums may have before making a post.
- All posts must be made in English. We encourage people from all over the world to participate in this community. But, our staff can only read English and we have no way of monitoring any other languages.
- The above rules also apply to Private Messages and E-Mail sent via this board. Do not send spam or any other unwanted messages to the users of this board! Spam is against the law and will be reported to the proper authorities.
Images, Avatars, and Signatures
- When adding an image to your post, please consider linking to the url of the image instead if possible. If you do embed an image in your post, make sure what it is not excessively large for respect of those on dialup connections. Images not suitable for all ages are not permitted.
- An avatar's width can be no greater than 120 pixels, the height no greater than 120 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB.
- Please keep signatures as short as possible. If you insert any images in your signature, please make sure that they are no bigger than 150 pixels tall (about the same height as your avatar.)
- Failure to comply with avatar and signature guidelines may result in the corresponding permissions being revoked, without refund of coins.
Personal Information
- Please do not post your email address in this forum. Spammers may be able to harvest email addresses on the web through special programs. Any email sent to you from this board will be sent through a script instead of directly to your email account. Your email address will only be made known if you send another user an email or reply to an email sent from the board. If you wish for your email address to remain private, please use the private messaging system.
- We would like to get to know you, but if you feel uncomfortable giving out any personal information that's ok. Any fields that are filled out in your profile will be made public, so if you don't want any information about yourself (ie your real name) available to the public, then leave the field blank.
- If you are under 13 years of age, do not post any personal information online under any circumstances. We would like to keep our children safe!
